From time to time I find myself traveling around the world, yet still having regular meetings at NYU. Of course this is only possible because of on-line tools like Zoom.
We all know that there is something missing when you are not meeting in person. But I wonder what might also be added to compensate.
Other than the convenience, what are the actual advantages of meeting remotely? I am curious to hear what others might think.
The ability to socialize (e.g. lunch, etc) before or after the actual meeting.

What might be some advantages of remote meetings, as opposed to in-person meeting?
Mostly that it is easier to see details on your own screen. I have been in several physical meetings where we setup a teams call just to share the screen (all audio muted) rather than trying to read from the screen at the end of the room.
