The snow that blankets all New York tonight
\nHas crept upon us like a whispered song
\nSidewalks vanished under drifts of white
\nI hear the snow will fall the whole night long
\nI turn to face the cold Manhattan air
\nThe very world around is rearranged
\nAll around me people stop and stare
\nAnd marvel at how much their city’s changed
\nWhen morning comes this town will be asleep
\nStores all closed, and no place much to go
