I arrived today in Berlin for the UIST conference. I love Berlin — it is my second favorite city after New York. Maybe because it reminds me so much of New York. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Just arriving, I am greeting old friends, colleagues and acquaintances from years past. Time may changed me, but I can’t trace time.<\/p>\n
As this day has progressed, memories have been coming back to me of earlier times in this wonderful city. Memories of people I knew, and of conversations I’ve had.<\/p>\n
My first time in Berlin was in May 2001, and since then I have returned a number of times — most notably for an entire summer visit in 2006.
