The rule is that you need to make a sentence that is grammatical and makes sense whether or not the word has been split up.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some examples:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nWe <b>alter natively<\/b> fish in our pond.<\/p>\n<p>She likes to <b>be wilder<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The glass dome was built to <b>cap a city<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>They showed a <b>flag rant<\/b> disregard for my anarchist diatribe.<\/p>\n<p>In the spa I sit all sweaty and <b>hum idly<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>When I fold my money it doubles, and afterward I find it still <b>in creases<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The voluble Nobel laureate loved his <b>lab oratory<\/b>.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And drawing from Andy&#8217;s clever examples:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nSome jokester has filled my bathtub with <b>sham poo<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>When I stay too long cooped up without sunshine, I am apt to go off on a <b>tan gent<\/b>.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now that we&#8217;ve come up with some examples of splitting up words &#8212; with some excellent contributions from Andy! &#8212; let&#8217;s use them in a sentence.
