Dates that come up in art

I have always been fascinated by references to real world dates in literature. Although sometimes you need to look carefully to find them.

One of my favorite examples was June 18, 2006. This real world date was foretold in the lyrics of one of my favorite songs, a song that you have most likely also heard.

Can you figure out the reference?

  1. Well, given that Sir Paul turned 64 on that date… 🙂

  2. Here’s one for you: February 17, 2061. Hint: it is loosely connected to the answer to yours via a charming movie that I happened to watch recently for the first time.

  3. My first guess is it has something to do with the movie Yesterday (a very charming movie), since that is the day Ed Sheeran will turn 70. But it’s been a while since I’ve seen that movie, so I can’t be sure if there is a reference like that in the film.

  4. Can’t get anything past you! 🙂 Indeed, my hint referred to that movie (but just to get to Ed Sheeran). The date is implicitly in an Ed Sheeran song. It always reminds me of When I’m 64 when I hear it.
