  1. I don’t know about the circus, but running away sure sounds good sometimes! Then I remember the immortal words of Buckaroo Bonzai and I figure I may as well stay here 😉

Okay, I see that this New Year’s Day circus theme is a “thing” in your blog. I don’t know how literally to interpret it, though.

  2. It’s a metaphor. Every time we embark on a new adventure, even just a thought adventure, we are giving ourselves permission to run away to the circus — to try something a little bit crazy and new.

Each new year can be seen as a chance, in our own way, to run away to the circus. If we’re really clever about it, sometimes we can do it without even leaving home. 🙂

  3. Happy New Year Ken! When I saw this, and it is your blog 🙂 I thought this was a Mongolian yurt, with all the mathematical proportions (81 beams, something to do with 9..? 🙂 cheers!

  4. Happy New Year to you too!!! Yes, modern yurts have 81 poles, and 3×3 = 9, and 9×9 = 81. It’s funny how something round can be built from squares!
