Some of this was due to the reaction of the person I was demoing to, and some of it came out of thinking &#8220;Gosh, I wish I also could have shown &#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And I realized, for the first time, that all of my years of showing demos has not been just to show demos. It has also been to <i>learn<\/i> from the experience. And then to use that knowledge to make the demo better.<\/p>\n<p>It turns out that giving demos is an iterative experience: Learn from doing it, make it better, repeat.<\/p>\n<p>Which means, in essence, that a good demo is something that is organically grown, not from one person, but from an entire community.
