If Jim Henson were alive, he would be 90 years old today. It occurs to me that the enormity of his influence on our culture is equivalent to that of the Beatles.
Take a moment to think about our modern American concept of humor, of irony, of how we approach serious topics in a playful way. These are built upon ways of thinking that Jim Henson introduced into our culture.
