This morning I talked to my sister on the phone and she wished me a happy erev Christmas. I found myself wondering, how many people would really understand why that was funny?
I am also wondering, in a more general sense, how many little multicultural languages are there, embedded in the larger culture, hiding right there in plain sight, that pass most people right by?
