Sunsets

There are sunsets every day. They are so common that we completely forgot about them.

And yet each sunset is beautiful beautiful and priceless, a crown jewel of nature’s miracles.

I wonder whether we could all learn not to take such miracles for granted. That would indeed be a miracle.

That’s a beautiful goal. But if we are acknowledging every thing in every moment, don’t we lose track of the moment?

  2. Good point.

Fortunately there is a middle ground between not taking something for granted and thinking about it every moment.

  3. Sunset and sunrise are a continuum. There is always a ring of a refracting rainbow of warm colors encircling the globe. If you pass through it from the dark, it’s sunrise, from the light then it’s sunset. After it leaves your view, It exists for others… or no one… just over the horizon. Always.
